Not being made Welcome or bullying on web forums

This is one for Producer's Photographers and models.

I am wondering whether there are other sites whwere you are a member that you wil not post on forums as you are made to feel welcome because of the work that you do, your sexuality etc?

Have you have bad experiances with some members on other sites with bullying or abuse etc.

Oh yeah being bullied by faceless keyboard warriors is par for the course being in porn.

Theyre usually the kind of people that are quick to slag you off and beat you down with venomous comments that they havent got the guts to say to your face at a public event because they are usually, jealous, bitter, jaded or all the above

You can usually spot the nasty snidey ones by the comments they make.

Then there are those who are quick to say you are stupid or generally uninelligent because you dont agree with what they say. I could name a forum where a den of these kind of people lurk but why bother? I just dont visit there unless I really have to and even then its with my flak jacket on to make a safe getaway.

The nastiest site of this type has gone the way of the Do-Do. Probably imploded on their own anger, rage and resentment

With so many varying niches everybody from the top to the bottom expects a little backlash, like the X-Factor you will be given advise & abuse & told if you are going to make it in the industry.
Let remarks roll over your head & enjoy the banter, i can have a ding dong on a forum on a Monday & end up partying with them at the weekend so don't take it personal.
This forum is a rat race where you expect knocks etc but you can also get a good insight into the industry people & what makes them tick & this is why forums like this are so popular.
If you show weakness you will get walked over so a take a deep breath & meet them head on whoever they are & you will realise they are no different to you.

I can't recall ever having a problem with announcing I'm a pornographer, (Don't shout it out, i'm just honest when "what do you do for a living?' type questions come up)

Mostly there are jokey comments, the odd serious question, and a few hundred people thinking they're the first person ever to say "need an assistant?"
