The porn industry demands a certain look...
this has been suggested on channel 4 show the sex education show and other forums. The girls generally have boob jobs, hair extensions, fake nails, pumped up lips and tattoos. Are girls who enter the biz who are considered to be lacking in the boobs dept pressurised to get boob jobs on the basis they'll get more work.Personally i like the natural look and some of my fave brit girls didn't go under the knife although i wonder whether it was often suggested to them, i'm thinking of Angel and Ashley Long, Renee Richards and a few others.

Kelly Aris had the nicest natural tits, in my mind, on any girl. It's just a shame she's finished flashing em.

"No generalization is true- not even this one"......
... but I agree you have a point, referring to some parts of the industry.
Your question begs a more specific set of qs: who ARE these people [apparently
with a VERY twisted idea of female attractiveness], dictating particular trends in
looks- the bleach/tats/metal/blokette thing? Aren't they merely tapping-in to a
wider [and IMO deplorable] societal phenom.? And am I alone in regarding the
latter as the unfortunate perversion of a perfectly valid womens'-lib ethic into
the tragic and self-defeating notion that women thereby somehow have acquired
the 'right' to be every bit as stupid, offensive-to-the-eye, venal, loud-mouthed
and violent, as men?

Theres only on eproducer I can think of that actively encorages girls to get boob jobs but since he pays for it thats no one elses concern but him and the model.
A majority of producers I know of prefer the natural look and encourage girls to stay with their natural "god givens".

Re: The porn industry demands a certain look...
I have always been amazed by the 'natural look' debate. There are very few (if any) sites/producers/fans enthusing over models without make-up yet it is absolutely an enhancement (albeit temporary). Next in the accepted line seems to be hair extensions. Hmm, see where I'm going with this? Most models know exactly how to enhance themselves, temporarily or less-temporarily and they do so in an attempt to be more attractive than the next girl - just like out there in the 'real world'. My only wish is that girls 'enahnce' in a way that they are 100% comfortable with.

That sounds like a bit of a 'straw man' argument to me.
Make-up can be removed at the end of the day; implants cannot [at least, so far].

If that's true [and I have no reason to doubt your word] then the pressures,
such as they are, must come from outside the industry. This accords with my
earlier observation that the whole look is becoming the prevalent one in some
S-E groups [OK; in Essex and Tyneside ].
I do however hear that some significant pressure is applied by some of our
Colonial cousins- presumably on their guiding principle that bigger is always better.

Re: The porn industry demands a certain look...
It's a terrible shame really. A couple of months ago, I worked with a beautiful natural fresh faced girl. After 6 weeks or so, we invited her back for another scene and when she walked in the door, I nearly collapsed in tears. She had been transformed into a psuedo American, lolly-pop head, crack-whore style "porn star" with all the trimmings. It was heartbreaking.
It took our make up artist two and a half hours to scrape all the shit off her and bring her back to her natural pretty self.
Yes she'd been listening to the siren call of the "Togs" and had looked at other girls on American websites. All this peer pressure convinced her to start getting every enhancement known to man done. Luckily, we got her just in time. God only knows what she looks like now, "Bride of Wildenstein?"

Re: The porn industry demands a certain look...
I don't think this is just confined to porn and creating the porn look, it's wider society.
The girls come into the industry, make good easy money and then use that money to enhance themselves and get the celebrity wag look they aspire too.
It's not just porn stars who inject their lips and have fillers, boob jobs. Many girls are having it done.
Go out in Brum on a Saturday night and all the girls are plastered in make up, big hair extensions, nails, shoes, that's just the popular look these days.

It still makes you wonder who dreams it all up in the first place.... mind you, I
must be getting old- I now cringe at the things I used to wear in the seventies.
The wheel will spin again in a few years, giving us all something [not-so-]new to
shudder at.
