Went to soho today to change a few vids, as i was picking my selections i had a warrant card thrust in my face, and told the shop was closing. Her majesty's pigs and porkers decided to raid the place, you would think with all the terrorists and murderers running round the country they would have better things to do!.

Never been to Maxims,me strictley a yokel,but must agree on the better things to do.Don't you just love the oinkers,catching speeders,parkers,people defending their homes.They should go to a Town centre on a Saturday Night and do a bit of work,instead of
crouching in an alleyway and hiding until their shift is over.Any

Raided again!! - Jesus! - This is a total joke - although the shop is unlicensed; it only stocks standard hardcore type material - nothing untoward - this is one of the most reliable shops in the area for reliability and quality, and I for one hope they continue to trade...

I will refrain from going into a rant again about the piglets but the reason they do this is because its easier to hit soft targets as it involves no hard work or detection and it still counts as a detected crime when the figures are published.

I was raided, back in the early nineties and fined a few thousand pounds on a ?supplying videos without classification? offence. With the amount of trading standards & police officers that turned up with a warrant, you would have thought I was a crack-dealer... God I love Britain!!

Ask yourself What is he selling?

If it's counterfiet material he's just duplicated himself for the cost of blank tapes, then I say SHUT THE BUGGER DOWN AND SEND HIM TO JAIL.

Why should producers pay models, rent studios, buy cameras, hire make-up artists, editors, etc, etc just for some wanker to buy a single copy and duplicate hundreds of copies without paying a penny towards the production.

Maybe I'm wrong but I suspect that every non-licensed shop in Soho and elsewhere is doing just this. If so PLEASE HELP THE PIGS rather than winge about them.

If we who enjoy our porn want to see new materisl, we should be prepared to support those who produce it, not those who steal it. BASTARDS

You seem to be forgetting that:

a) until very recently there was no legal supply of hardcore in the UK at all, and the unlicensed shops were providing an essential service to the porn-starved public

and

b) the range of material available at R18 is still pretty miserable (though improving) and some kinds of porn (e.g. girl/girl) are practically non-existent at R18.

Personally I prefer to buy R18 videos in licensed sex shops, so that the producers get their fair reward, and as a customer I get reliable quality, but unless and until the choice of R18s is vastly better I will continue to use unlicensed shops from time to time.
