OK before i begin, i'm sorry but i don't know which magazine you are referring to. But i just have a couple of questions?
You said you came across the magazine in the 90's (I hope that wasn't literally?). How did you come across it? In a store? In an old collection belonging to you or someone else? Was it yours? And if saw what did you do with it?
Were you friends with your mate at the time? When you saw it then, did you know or think it was his mum? Or have you only been mates since then? And if so, how positive are you that it is her? It may just be that your mind is playing tricks? And most likely its not her at all. And maybe if she does have a slight resemblence you are just wanting to believe its her?
Chances of you finding it must be slim, or even remembering the name. But not wanting to give too much away about the assumed person, perhaps a description of your friends mum, preferably as you remember her from the magazine, might jog some memories. And if you do find the magazine or find out that it was her. What are you planning on doing. Are you going to ask her/confront her. Agree with pinkbits, jobbydealer a good place to start. If the mag still had it's cover when you saw it, you should spot it there.
