How common are inverted nipples ?

Found a series of images of Downton Abbey star Jessica Brown-Findlay from her first topless scene shot for a new film called ALBATROSS and although image quality is not great it appears that one of her nipples is inverted.

I wondered how common place this is ? and whether you come across models working in the adult industry that have them ? and if you use anything to un-invert them ?

Very common and I've found a lot of girls were very conscious of this. Some use those bars through the nipple to remedy the problem

O right so it is very common. I'm also assuming given your omment about those that have them and feeling so self-coscious about them that this a bit of a taboo subject and never discussed anywhere. Given how common you say it is that is also an interesting comment you make about the nipple bars that you often see girls sporting through their nipples. Now you come to mention it that does seem to make a lot of sense ensuring the teat is prevented from inverting. Clever stuff.

There was a gorgeous girl called Hayley, 19 from Hull that sent in a topless pic of hersef to this years Page 3 Idol competition run by The Sun Page 3 and she has those nipple bars as this pic shows

I'm guessing she has inverted nipples.

Sadly she didnt make the semi-finals or shortlist but I think she looks bloody gorgeous. Kind of reminds me a bit of Cameron Diaz.

I hope she doesnt give up dream of becoming a model.

I had a girlfriend who had her right nipple inverted. It came out with a bit of sucking though.

I think the Sun's rather schizophrenic attitude to sex would make them balk
at doing a P3 girl with nipple-bolts. They're not crazy about tats, even.

According to Wiki about 10-20% of women are born with the condition in some
degree [they don't explain the wide percentage-gap]; and others may acquire
it in later life for a variety of reasons. The higher figure [or factoring
in the post-natal occurrences to the lower] would make it a little commoner
than left-handedness.

Probably simply because the reader tends not to like them.

I understand inverted nipples are due to the milk ducts being too short, and keeping them stretched can remedy the problem. Piericings will obviously do that, or you can get some sort of medical ring clamp device that holds them out without the need to punch a hole in it.

Good to see the subject is not taboo on here and actually makes for an interesting discussion. Thanks to all that have contributed and for the info provided.

More common than left-handers .... that's a great piece of trivia.

Quite a high percentage then, even more than I thought.

As for Page 3 well, they have had a 'natural boobs only' policy for many years (supposedly because the readers wanted that), and you are right about tats and piercings appearing to be a no no for them as well. Their main criteria over the years seems to have been for natural unmodified beauty combined with a great smile. They don't really do sultry or moody and so all the girls that enter these various Page 3 Idol contests every yeaar with pics of themselves showing tats, piercings, implants or not smiling tend to fall at the first hurdle, which is a shame as I am sure their are some cracking girls that get overlooked.

Having said, I am quite impressed with the 3 that have made it to the final as this link shows
