What is the current industry standard for a US Mag level shoot?

The term is out of date. US mag in the old days simply meant spreading pussy lips as that was the level for most USA magazines. Nowadays the term has little meaning but most people who have been in the industry long term would accept it to mean pussy spreading.

Well, it still has plenty of meaning in the amateur market I know Iain has only been shooting models since about 2007.

It is a VERY good way of explaining levels of adult styles without being explicit. Twenty years ago you would still still get the odd model being quite graphic in her correspondence (It was BBS & email then) saying she would be quite happy to spread her pussy lips etc! You can imagine some people just getting off by communicating with the models! LOL

UK Mag: Basically, the simplest term would be that the model poses in nude reclined poses with her legs open.

US Mag: Ditto UK Mag but holding her labia wide open.

Dutch: Insertion of finger/fingers only

Continental: Insertion of toys

Now, you can be quite graphic in your communication with models. Or, you can use the above terms that have been used long before some have been in the business of working with models.

If you are booking a model and in outline have agreed this level it is always best in advance to use the above descriptions rather than the name so no disagreements on the shoot.
