Other side of the story

I know why newspapers do it, but I still have to get this off my chest as it really really p*sses me off!

I live in Scotland, one of the biggest selling Sunday papers is The Sunday Mail. Yet again there is a full page story about a guy who earns lots of cash from porn. There's a pic of the guy in a suit, carrying a briefcase, opening paragraph along the lines of, 'he may look like a respectable businessman, but we can reveal Mr Whoever pockets ?400K a year from seedy Internet porn etc etc. Has recently been touring UK recruiting 100 girls for his seedy operation.'

Why I get annoyed is they never tell the other side of the story, (because it wouldn't sell as many papers), the other side being WHY guys like this make so much cash. It's because so many 'respectable looking' members of the public are logging on to toss off!!

They run a story like this every few weeks in The Sunday Mail, exposing a 'respectable' man or woman as a seedy individual who makes cash selling sex. So what?!? I wish I was making hundreds of ?1000's a year without having to do much. I repeat, people who run the porn industry, no matter what area, make cash because so many people, (myself obviously included), use it!

Why are we, as a society, still so fasinated by the fact people make cash out of porn? What makes me laugh is a lot of woman will read that story thinking, 'how disgusting', unaware their hubby frequently logs on to search for porn, or visits the local sauna for a 'massage', or drives his Ford Focus around certain streets at 5 mph!!!

Okay, I've moaned enough!
