so you have nothing to hide, eh?

well, if that's the case why do you make snide posts using 'secret' identities? e.g. your none too clever disguise as 'celtic fan' which you used to start the 'mcavity and sullivan' thread.

in that context, the post you made as 'zasuna' - bigging up "the celtic fan for raising such a good point" - was rather pathetic.

and let's not overlook your taste for more overt trolling under an 'assumed' name - e.g. the bogus post you made as 'marcus allen' and 'long arm of the law' - again, used for slandering marcus.

your history would seem to indicate some sort of grievance with regard to phil and marcus. perhaps you're in the same line of business?

would you care to enlighten us?

Perhaps we are seeing the true threads that hold together the porn industry behind the scenes.
There is talk of finacially beneficial alliances at the cost to other producers, contacts with heavy families, shops ripping people off, defensive postings, flakey women and men, controversy over slaggings (let's be fair, most british porn is exceptionally poor production quality, shot by someone with a DV cam and a poxy edit suite), terrible lies about being able to track people through their IP addresses just cause they can't take criticism. If this be the case, doesn't it spoil the wank factor of fans to know that the maelstrom behind the scenes is caused by greedy people, and probably the result of fragile egos. Or am I seeing things incorrectly.

Bloody hell Dunk, You've covered a hell of a lot of ground in there and to be honest, I can't quite see your point. Care to simplify it?

I merely weeded out the sub text of the above threads and simplified them.and perhaps included references to some others. If unclear I apologise and make no direct attacks, but DS has been continual source of entertaining threads on this site and people seem defensive about associations with him, and Violet storm took some abuse from some tosser re: piercings, tattoos and crufts. The response seemed to be that the perpetrator would be hunted down. Perhaps I take these things to seriously, as I am new to your groups and dont fully appreciate the sense of humour. Again, I bow down gracefully if I have taken things out of context. This thread just seemed to contain alot between the lines, Put it down to too much X-files! :>)

If by x-files you mean refreshment of an alcoholic nature-You are definately forgiven. Either way, do'nt take it all too seriously, we're(mostly) all fucking mad anyway. Thank God

Dunk Starr, no one is deffending anyone, really. everyone on this web site has a point of view, I like most prefer it to informative ask and most of the pro's try to tell. We continually post with updates on what is on etc. If someone does not like a product or has been ripped by a company this is the place to tell it, I have not deffended DS because his marketing is bad, for years he has scammed the public simply because he was unable to supply what he promised. Now he has the ability to deliver what he advertises I do not expect anyone for one minute to forget his old marketing tricks but the simple facts is unless you are fortunate to live in London you may not have much choice but to buy from one of shops. I would like to be in those shops regardless of DS history. This after all a business I just try to operate my part as fairly as possible.
As for the tosser part and why not, should some idiot in a pub call your wife or mother a dog and get all personal I would slap him for you. But you are right the people who try to hide and make sarky comments are only sad lonely cowards who are only crying for the attention. Please let them do it elsewhere.
Tracking ISP's in a very recent case plod placed some bad bad web-pages up in Begium then tracked the ISP to the tel no and raided the guy while he was on-line. So its not that hard the guy even had a firewall/mirror up etc etc.
Let us now keep on track one of our own actress won an award alongside Hans Moser and Helen Duval does this not deserve congratulations even if she is not your bag, Shit I even watched the curling final at Olympics because there was a British team there and I hate curling cause I played Ice Hockey up to 3 years ago and they hate us cause we mess up the rink.

Praise where it is due,

I`m glad you said that Phil. DS has got very very rich from robbing the public. Any other type of theft would result in jail but hes got away with pinching millions from punters. I realise you need to shift units but why through DS. Ben has managed to make a pile of money without the help of DS shops. If I want to buy your films I will buy mail order as there is no-way on earth I will ever give one penny to DS. He did not have to scam the public at all-he could have set up an offshore company like YC but he didnt. The sooner that bloke is given the cold shoulder by the rest of the industry the better.

BTW I agree that those remarks that guy made about crufts were well out of order and completely irrelevent to the point. Congrats on the succsess at Brussells.

I was in a couple of stores last week and they seemed to have everyones titles so I geuss most people deal with them. Ben is a one off to try and copy his style and marketing would be fatal I know look how many producers have tried and failed. The one main difference between me and Ben is his product is about him he has built himself up with the help of big companies in US and I believe in Europe as well. But he is an individual selling rights. His own marketing in UK is not so so great for the same reasons as you have said before lack of outlets price, piracy etc etc. Ben suffered real bad from pirates and I know on occasions the extent of this got him down and who could blame him.
I am building a company, my plans are to buy rights not sell them, I am currently selling units in 5 other countries including the states I employ staff who run copy banks/design/edit I am funding the whole Violet project. This is a long term project for me and I am only in my second year. When I lost my TV station 3yaers ago, I lost about 60,000 and my house as well as 3 years planning and hard work not to mention my equipment, I know you don't know all this shit so I wont go into it to much.
Marino turned up at Brussels to try and sell rights to his stuff which is, you would say in competition to mine. Yes. Well I let him use my stand for a base introduced him to the likes of Hans Moser etc etc. Why. Because I want to be around for a long time yet, and what you put out comes back and I am sure you know that. Why not help him I am sure he would help me if I asked. This is the way we should be as producers the pond is big enough for loads of fish.
As for the of-shore part well that part is correct except you can't live here and employ staff and pay tax and give money away to charrities etc etc Birminham City etc. But I do agree with you 100% about his scams, he chose to not break the law and insted used the law to defend him against the public.
My hope is his company is now in competition against many smaller operations (remmeber I supply both) will have to get its house in order big time because it has to and we should hear no more of scams etc.
Loads of operations started as pirates or scam merchants and now are trading legaly and well so maybe there is hope,
