What ever the right & wrongs of this war maybe this would be approprite at this time:

To say we're doing splendidly,
But it's very hot out here in the heat
Marching to & from the enemy,

Can you stop the Cavalry?

I have had to fight almost every night
Down throughout these centuries,

In the nuclear fall-out zone,

Bang! goes another bomb,

While the czar and jim have tea.

Hopefully our troops will not have to battle for much longer & without to many more lives lost.
