Best place to advertise

Just looking to advertise, and it's a mine field........ Just wanted to know if any one can point me in the right direction, maybe the mags that are most read, web sites who will offer return links? Who the best people are to talk too etc....

As a webmaster myself, I would say start an affiliate programme for your on line store.

Then go to and look for links sites that you can submit to..
