they were never the same without him,1st heard touch me on a transistor radio in xmas 69 alan freeman played it along with idle races come with me,and at the xmas party in my old school they had sweet dream by jethro tull my girlfriend got them to play terry twinlke and let their be drums sandy nelson was there .

I just finished hes book about them ...a really great read ....well if your into sex ,drugs and rock and roll ....did you ever check out any british underground gig's or festivals in the 60's / 70's ?

iwas only 12 in 68 the height of underrground and sike missed all the so called orgys mick jagger and bowie beat me to it,im a big fan of the kinks and who.

I think the Kinks are the best band from the 60's !!! i love the Who to but they are not as good at judging peoples really feeling's?

ray davies can write about anything really evreyday life things hes done a lot of film soundtracks too iagree the who were a bit rougher but great music nevertheless tommy was a bit complex but odds and sosd was ok.

b sides were good as well waltz for a pig credited to harry butcher from substitute for example!the kinks also gave great bsides fave track from the ep was ive got that feeling so pleased it was reissued in 98
