some of the greatest albums ever made were courtesy of motown in the 70's, including THE greatest, imo - "what's going on" by the incomparable marvin gaye. then, of course, there was stevie wonder with "innervisions","songs in the key of life", etc. both these artists released many classic records in this period - and all on the motown label.

Led Zeppelin, BBC Sessions
Just listening to this, it's fucking fantastic, the second CD, a live set recorded at the BBC playhouse theatre in 1971, send shivers down my spine! also noteworthy as the first live performance of Stairway to heaven, now this is rock n' roll! (Steve mail me and I'll send you a copy!)

Re: 1ST RECORDS
I fucking hate the song "Dogs of war" from Pink Floyds A momentary lapse of reason album, then again Another brick in the wall get's on my tits as well, although the live version from 1994, with the rocking Tim renwick on guitar is fantastic
