about same Steve, I remeber the first ever cassette I was bought as a present was, Queen, greatest hits 1 (I'm 29), my music went from Bon Jovi/ Iron Maiden (12/13) to Luther Vandross (soul) 14 then Ice T/NWA (hard rap) the I found real music buy picking up The Piper at the gates of dawn on cassette in wolly's, been a big Floyd fan ever since, plus Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, and even Oasis believe it or not!, the first ever cassette of music I reacl, and I still have is...the soundtrack to saturady night fever!

sorry if i offended but i like the early queen but prefer hawkwind,ilike lizzy too did have the live album and the decca best of,ilike oasis too heard noel interviewed on radio 1 aug bank holiday last year great sense of humour and good choice in music,he was beinginterviewed once talking about the floyd record another brick in the wall [ch4]he said iknow all the fucking words to it,thought the sex pistols were the 70s really sue said she thought they were too heavy?i thought they were great missed the bill grundy thing but have it on lp.

Very true Woody i forgot all about Marvin and Stevie,
but a lot of Motown has the same session players and some times record's have such a similar sound i think a lot of their album are full of fillers, the strong point of motown was its singles market for Jukeboxes and disco's, Marvin and Steve were top Motown singers they got the power to do what they wanted in the end and could hire any session player they wanted apart from being good songwriters / musicians them self's .
My point is Diana Ross and the Supremes were the best selling girl group in the uk up untill Bananarama (dont laugh) in the 80's , name one album buy the girls that aint a greatest hits ?
