Re: Does anyone here ever have sex?
I don't have much sex and it's porn's fault. Kind of. Almost sounds like the title of a Jerry show "Porn Leaves Me Sexless"...
Thing is this. 'Mainstream' society and attitudes leave me so bored, with a nagging feeling that there is far more from life to be squeezed then the somewhat dull 9-5, mortgage, kids, flirtation with religoin etc. that I actively seek out the freaks. I see them as my people. Those who don't conform as such to the collectively perceived 'normality' of life.
Now this forum isn't an extreme home for freaky people, but it does share a kind of collective enjoyment of pornography I think, and a desire to have that enjoyment or interest accepted as a legitimate and valid aspect to their life, rather then be frowned upon and condemned by the very people who will get down from their pulpit and finance those they make their living from condemning. I could be wrong about that but I don't think I am.
Back on topic, I am that bored with 'normal' society that I too am drawn, just like you are, to a world of sexual deviance, exploration and expression. I am the first to admit that as a whole, pornville is not the best place to explore this world. Sexuality is often exploited for commercial gain. The purpose of porn is not for arousal, it's for profit. Simple as that. In that sense, porn is not providing anything less fake then the very thing I am running away from. But my interest in porn is symbolic in the absense of any other community of real people with real journies to share and involve me in. It represents my desire to shake off who I'm supposed to be and what I'm supposed to do, as told to me by the Daily Mail and Tory voters.
It tells me that I want out, or at least that I want something different, and that at the moment I am finding that in porn.
Why does it leave me sexless? Well, it depends if you include sex with yourself. If you do, I'm having more sex then anyone I've ever met. (Sorry). Outside of the sordid little incubus that it is my private world, there are far more factors then porn affecting my lack of a sex life. And I'm not going to go into them here. Suffice to say though that porn does play a part. It standardises relationships into something they're not and it does effect my perception of women. Not in a bad way necessarily, it certainly doesn't de-value women for me, quite the contrary. But withint porn, women are portrayed and portray themselves as purely sexual. And of course women are not just sexual. But you don't get to see much else in porn, so the other parts can become ignored or forgotten. And it's those parts that are first encountered in social transactions. So in that sense porn does have an effect in the way I am around people, especially those I don't know.
Sorry, I'm rambling but I hope some of that made sense.

Re: Does anyone here ever have sex?
many of the guys on here probaly like myself do have an addiction to porn in one way or another either watching learning or socialising but that does not mean we do not enjoy sex with partners or others. The fact that porn can be a way of spicing up or making a long term monogumus relationship more tolerable is never mentioned but it works for me.
My own addiction started i suppose when i was around 13 when i found some mags of my fathers, my spouse suspects but prefers not to question the extent of the addiction I know she knows but she knows i have no wish to offend her, needless to say i consider porn to be a selfish thing and not something which is to be shared.?(though to each his own).
Does it effect my relationship ? yes but in a minor way and not so u would notice i don't think. You cannot be selfish all the time and neither should you want to. by the way try lavasoft window washer for eradication

Re: Does anyone here ever have sex?
Normal society today reeks of political correctness which is why it has become so boring IMHO...religion is breeding intolerance IMPO
All sense of the individual has been beaten out of the characters in the 9 to 5 workplace to be replaced by professionalism.Put a foot out of place and your days are numbered.
Is it any wonder people have to seek the fringes of society where political correctness has no hold
So we escape to our internet forums where anonymity is guaranteed and we can speak without fear of repercussions in our 'Normal' lives by would be do gooders
So to all you would be moral crusaders who seek to save our souls I give you these four lines of a recent song....My God by Pennywise,
Holier Than Thou With Your One Way Morality
I Think Your Shallow Faith Isn't Based In Reality
You Don't Like How Were Living We'er Sinful & Obscene
Why Are You Judging Me?
