Why do I feel like we entered the "Moral Maze" with some of these threads lately?

All true: and as I said, I got the impression to a certain extent that 'escorting' was looked down on by porn people.
Hey ho.........

Because we have.
Matt was nearest the mark: it's all a question of degree. How many wives are married because of financial security? None the worse for that, as long as both parties have their eyes open..........
Moral judgments from religion? Fine, as long as one can opt out without prejudice. Morla judgments from Government? None of their damn' business. Tax it by all means, but don't try and legislate adult freedom of choice.

Freedom of choice yes. Everyone has it, but some see it as their duty to prevent us from having a freedom of choice.

Not really: we have the illusion of freedom of choice rather than the reality.
And those who would seek to futher restrict that illusion must be careful, lest the illusion is shattered.............

"Pornstars in porn movies are paid basicaly for making love, it seems the motivation of many actors in porn is money"

So what?

"i mean who else would make love to strangers simply for the fun of it."

Er, someone who found making love to strangers fun?

"money is exchanged in porn movie productions and in prostitution, so what is the difference?"

Who cares?

It's all a matter of personal interpretation if you ask me... and to be honest, I don't care either way - I'm comfortable with looking at it from any angle...

Lets look at this instance... I meet a girl in the pub - buy her drinks all night - it culminates in the inevitable... not that it is "inevitable" that every woman who meets me wants to have sex with me - but you get the drift... it ends in sex.... PROSTITUTION? Instead of buying her own drinks - I've bought them for her, consequently she's ?20 better off than had she not met and shagged me - so lets go even further and call it CHEAP PROSTITUTION.... It's a question of degrees...

However - what makes you think people dont want to have sex with strangers? I'm quite at ease with it... I've been to swingers parties and swingers clubs... I've been on holiday to Greece and the Balearics - I've literally bumped into girls in bars and clubs and finished up back at my/their apartment - half of the time it is not until the following day that I realise I didn't even know their name...

But maybe you haven't experienced such raw, unbridled pleasures???

There is absolutely nothing wrong with fucking for fun... Let's see morals and religion for what it is - TROUBLE... I've got no qualms about casting morals aside and enjoying myself - giving and receiving pleasure for fun... a mutually satisfying encounter - and hey! If it goes down on video - all the better because I'll be able to re-live it in the future!

- What is so abhorrent and unthinkable about sex for fun and pleasure????

Nothing- apart from it being ultimately rather shallow and unsatisfactory.
Fine when you're young, but we all grow up eventually (errrmmmm....).
I do wonder, though, if you'd still find it pleasurably amoral if that last anonymous knee-trembler had given you an unpleasant disease? Sometimes there are practical considerations as well........just a thought.
