Do you mean the camp one with lots of women and nasty Japanese? That was "Tenko".

All of which were 20+ years ago: which would seem to prove the point.
LOG was brilliant, The Office more a painfully-acute satire than comedy, Phoenix Nights v good, recent 'lad+ladette' 'comedy' has been universally awful- but hey, they'll watch any old self-referential shit straight after the pubs shut......
I quite like 'My Famiy': the team-writing at least means they get a reasonable number of good gags per show, and Lindsay/Wannamaker/the geeky loon son are all pretty talented. But it hardly challenges, I suppose.

There's some shameless comedy revisionism taking place here today.

Dick Emery? To the Manor Born? My Family?

It always makes me laugh when us British folk delight in saying: "the Americans have no sense of irony". Let's see....... The Simpsons, Senfield, Curb your enthusiasm.....Fraiser........

May be as an older person I find the older comedy better than today's output.

Of today's The Office is Humorus, without being "side splitting"

My Family has a very good cast, with some very good set ups.

ITV can't seem to make a decent comdey to save their live's.

My favorite American comedy's have been M*A*S*H & Taxi.

for the love of god, please try and remember - when you make a post it attaches to the person who's post your reading, NOT the person that you happen to be thinking of!
