The reason that peeps appear on shows like Trisha and Kilroy is because all involved get payed and get put up in a decent hotel the night before filming,all expenses paid Im sure.
Now think about it-how many alcoholic drug addicts from up north(not making a sweeping generalisation of northerners,just those who appear on tirsha) are going to turn down the opportunity to go to London for two days on an all expenses paid trip,with I would presume as much room service delivered free drink as possible,in return for going on Trisha for ten minutes trading stories about how their daughter has shagged all the men on the estate and has 7 kids even though she is only 19 to which she retorts that her mother is a prostitute.
Is Trisha as mad as jerry springer?In that has anybody ever come on and revealed theyre a man or that they like shagging horses or other Jerresque measures?
Its just that when i get the chance for a lie in I wouldnt be getting up in time to watch Trisha!

All fair points, Ivan. It's just I find difficulty with the idea of standing up in front of the nation (or the piddling amount who watch the show) and declaring my innermost fear/worry/perversion. That some people can and do do it cannot be denied. Maybe I just rate myself higher than the contents of a hotel minibar.
Michelle's original point is still there, though. The Broadcasting Complaints mob are always quick to deal with instances about swearing, nudity or violence, but seem to be doing nothing to stop cynical programme makers exploiting vulnerable people. Anyway, I doubt if I have anything else to contribute to the discussion (since I never watch the show, I shouldn't have contributed anything really).

Not a big fan of Trisha since having Mark Sloans flatmate on the show dissing him for doing porn. I asked if I could use a clip on Back Door Raiders and they were not interested. I told em not to call me looking for favours since they weren't helpful to me why the fuck should I grace their show with my presence...I'm One Eyed Jack and I'm too big for their silly little TV show- Pish, push is what I told them.
Besides, who would want to go on a show and talk about something the whole audience is going to gang up on you and say how immoral you are. Fuck that, I highlight the worlds hypocrisies- Take a look in the mirror is what I say. Besides I know I might end up attacking the audience and that would n't be good for PR would it? Mind you, this sort of behaviour would be more acceptable on the Jerry Springer Show- Yo, Jerry sign me up!
