Then they went on to take an interesting screenplay like the sixth sense and turn it into a comedy

Bruce Willis the lead in a Sci-Fi movie....at least when Sigourney Weaver was down and out(Alien-pick a number) she acted the part where as Bruce was just being his stupid self

Sixth Sense had the potential to be as interesting as Blade Runner IMO
I put this effort in the same category as the spoof of Star Wars...god damn awful

Don't you mean The Fifth Element, Buttsie? I don't recall laughing much at The Sixth Sense. Thw worst thing about The Fifth Element was, without a doubt, that up his own arse DJ type (Chris Rock?).

DC, it's a low budget film starring Mare Winningham and Anthony Edwards about a guy who takes a public call box phone call by mistake and learns that there may or may not be nuclear missiles armed for the US in around 4 hours. I'll say no more than that. Steve De Jarnett i think is the directors name. It's just such a good film which is sure to become a cult film for the reasons stated in 1st thread. Urge you to watch it if you get the chance. Channel 4 might show it as it's been on Film Four recently(don't have this right now). So many things to look and it doesn't outstay either at about 85 minutes. Just one of the gems to see is Jeanete Goldstein(the hard girl Vasquez from 'Aliens') dressed up for what appears an expensive night out but stll armed to the teeth! Lots of b-movie types like the black desk Seargent from 'Robocop', Denise Crosby from 'Star Trek' summat and John Ryan. It was the surprise hit film and ' Shock around the clock' back in about '95 even though the film was actually made in 1988/9. Give it a view, DC i hope you wont be disappointed

I'll second Chris Rock...annoying little shit....but he's still got more class than Eddie Murphy...but then who hasn't?

just obtained the 'tdtecf' dvd (a snip at ?9.99 in the hmv sale) and lo, in the stills section, there are 3 shots of the divine janet, topless, while washing herself at the bathroom hand basin, in her apartment (this is in 1962 remember - highly unusual for a mainstream british actress before the more liberated 60's vibe kicked in).

more surprisingly, in another gallery, there some pics of her taken of by the legendary george harrison marks, including one in which she displays the sort of nipples that would necessitate the donning of a protective visor upon closer inspection.

oh, and the restoration of the picture is truly excellent (anamorphic, OAR), and includes the colour tinted sequences not seen since it's original theatrical release. v. nice interactive menu, too.
