It was originally done as a TV mini-series by Tobe "Chainsaw Massacre" Hooper(?), with the main vampire done up as a Nosferatu type. It certainly had its moments . . . .

. . . . . but for top class vampiric telly, Channel 4's Ultraviolet from a couple of years back had a lot to recommend it.

I've got that but it's hardly a classic, just a good old horror film.

The BEST gimmick EVER was in the 50's, a horror called The Shocker was the rage at a cinema in New York, and the seats were wired to a generator that gave viewers 'mild tingles' of electricity at appropriate moments, apparently, someone actually pissed himself and this caused a massive shock that didnt kill him, but caused the NY authorities to stop this practice. What do we get now? 3D glasses for shite JAWS sequels
