Best Sporting Event of the 20th Century

Having been peeved off with all the negative shite of recent postings
what events have lifted your spirits to such an extent that you have actually forgotten where you were what you were doing for a living etc

For mine being a sports watcher the First Dream Team was unbelievable
Michael Jordan,Magic Johnson & Larry Bird(the tall white guy) playing together was awesome...if an analogy could be drawn thay played like Ants
total understanding without thinking the ultimate

My best friend (sorry I have keep his name out) as i was growing up was a sprinter ,trained for years 4-5 nights a week , never drank and put a lot of life on hold to train for the Olympics , seeing him run for England was amazing .....

Given Germanys never say die attititude and Englands woeful recored since the infamous Graham Taylors reign it was certainly an unbelievable thrashing(In Germany)

The inclusion of women's beach volleyball in the last Olympics was also very good.

Any event where David beats Goliath in any sport. Some have just been amazing feats against all the odds. Wimbledon's FA Cup win for example but i see life inspiring sporting achievements at least a couple of times a year. West Indies are currently on the history trail!
