....and I wonder how these girls will feel about them when they're in their 70s?

Re: Tattoos on girls in film
I don't find tats unattractive if they're well-done (i.e. not the five-bob pattern-book jobs you see quite often- I think that barbed-wire one looks crypto-aggressive and ugly, for example). Piercings I like much less- most are plain shudder-inducing. Still, rites of passage, and all that.............but what about the danger of terminal metal-fatigue?
The tattoo prize has to go to that Katayana bird- a huge cobra snaking its way round one of her hips and onto her pubis (and then, weirdly, into her untrimmed bush !). I like Emma Pierce's over-the-shoulder one, as well........

Re: Fashionable
Lairy: To be loud. To display a surfeit of confidence. To seek attention while showing little or no decorum. A phenomenon hitherto only associated with young men.
The antithesis of female lairyness might be a librarian, lady barrister, and medical consultant. The queen of lairyness would probably be the occasionally loud and obnoxious Pamela Anderson with her tasteless synthetic tits ? the image of a loud drunken bedraggled Pamela staggering out of an LA nightclub and hurling a torrent of abuse at a journo who had the effrontery to inquire why she wasn?t at home taking care of her child will always stick in my mind.
To have a tat doesn?t automatically mean you are lairy ? it?s just a general observation that girls who do have tats tend to display a lairy disposition ? ?HEY LOOK AT ME! I?M REALLY COOL AND HAPPENING! ? I?VE GOT A TAT!?
In a liberal sense this does not matter one iota, but in the context of sexual attraction it does, since most ordinary guys do not find lairyness in women an endearing trait ? quite the opposite. On a subconscious level it threatens and challenges their authority and masculinity. Canny girls who do have their heads screwed on right can sense this and instead of confronting men?s masculinity and egos they massage them. Gets them a whole lot further in the long run.
Jenna Jameson is a very pretty and talented girl - in the sense that she can actually act - though I regret she is not one of my top girls due to the fact of her synthetic tits ? which almost always look crap - and of course her tat/s which scream out ?Hey, I?ve bough into all that LA sex star bull ?n? hype because I don?t have the imagination and self confidence to be my own girl and come up with a creative and unique Jenna look. So I?ll just play it safe and go with the crowd.?
You (Angel) were not at the forefront of my mind when I mentioned lairyness and girls who do not have their heads screwed on right. Indeed I regret I have never watched one of your movies ? I?m afraid I?m a tit ?n? bum man myself and if I?m not mistaken you?re a tall, slender blonde? I wasn?t thinking of you when I made those comments. If you?re not lairy and you do have your head screwed on right please accept my humble apologies.
But even girls who do fit the lairy bill shouldn?t? take it to heart. It?s not a matter of life and death. But it is relevant to them, their lives, their future prospects and the sex industry in general. Hey, we?ve all been lairy at some point (yes, even me in my Jim Morrison leather strides!) it?s part of growing up. It?s just that when it finally dawns on you that your tats look juvenile, unattractive and embarrassing you will not be able wash them off like a naff shade of ?lippy? that turns out not to suit.

Re: Tattoos on girls in film
I think it depends on the nature of the tat.
If I met a girl with "MILLWALL SKINS" tatooed across her forehead and LOVE and HATE on her knuckles I might be inclined to think she might be a lager loutess and potentially violent which is even worse than lairy.
I could turn a blind eye to a small butterfly or heartshaped tattoo. I am quite modern in that respect:-)

Re: Tattoos on girls in film
I personally like them! I like the ones I have and wouldn't remove them if I had the chance. I think it shows the girl has character, and as I can understand that a lot of guys don't like it (Dibble etc), I think you'll find that statistics published a couple of years ago stated that 1 in 3 adults in Britain had a tattoo! So either live in the present or get those 'rose tinted' glasses out!

Re: Tattoos on girls in film
It's a question of taste, John. As I've said, it's any individual's choice to do what they wish with their body, and if you or anyone else wants to have tattoos, fine. But there are a number of people who find them ugly. You could have the tattooing equivalent of da Vinci doing the tattooing version of the Mona Lisa on someone's skin, and all I would see would be a mess of blue and green and red inks.
So, imagine someone sitting down to watch a grumble flick, beautiful lady come into view, pergfect on all counts, strips off---and instead of flawless skin there's an enormous, unsightly (to this supposed viewer) tattoo staring him in the face. Aesthetically unpleasing, and possibly an instant dick-shriveller.
Yes, it's unreasonable for people to dictate their tastes and preferences. But it's a reality of life that some people find body art (and piercing) a turn off, and that should be considered.
One other thing: you think a tattoo shows a person has character. I think, and I'm prepared to be shot down in flames here, that in a number of cases it just shows a lack of imagination and a slavish following of fashion. However, that's just my opinion. I wouldn't ban tattooing or piercing, because it's the individual's choice. But if I choose not to buy films because the leading lady is covered in tattoos, that is me expressing my individual choice---so I won't need the rose-tinted specs, thanks.
