I will echo WGs reply Caractucus because while I am a fan of Python, Fawlty Towers etc there have been some BRILLIANT comedies recently. All the ones WG mentioned are good. I particularly enjoyed Pheonix Nights and The Office. Black Books was great but then I think Bill Bailley is an excellent stand-up too- I love the routines he does with his keyboard - a very intellegent man despite his troll like appearance.
