I know I,ll get some stick maybe, but I personally didn,t like Bob Marley, and why not compare him to 70,s/80s,icons? he was one to a lot of people. Most white people I grew up with were always trying to be cool, listening to Bob and smoking weed, pretending to be cool black men! didn,t work, they just lives in shitty flats, and got ripped of by paying twice the going rate for weed. Bands like the selecter were more innovative, UB40, were ok till they got famous, and all that red wine crap came out.

Did you hear about the Scotsman, the Irishman and the Scouser who see Jesus walk into the pub. They all welcome him and each in turn buys him a drink (or should that be Him?) Anyway, Jesus thanks them for being such faithful believers.
He lays his hands on the Irishman and cures his arthritis. He does the same for the Scotsman and rids him of his migraines.
The Scouser jumps away and says "Don't bloody touch me, I'm on benefit".

I worked in Toxteth in the late 1970's and Bob Marley is a big part of the soundtrack of my life from back then, although not my ususal tast in music.
