Re: fave gangster movies of all time
What about something from the East?
In no particular order of preference
City on Fire - The film QT used as the template for dogs
A Better Tomorrow - Another inspiration for QTs film
Yojimbo - Remade as A Fistful Of Dollars and Last Man Standing
Tokyo Drifter & Dressed To Kill - A couple very unusual 60's Japanese films
Brother - 'Beat' Takeshi Kitano on fine form
Sonatine - 'Beat' Takashi best film, the comedy scenes played off against the violence. Superb.
Angels With Dirty Faces
White Heat
Get Carter
It's probably not the greatest gagster film ever but Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels- Lenny McClean was brilliant in that.
