Possible to make money from porn?

Giles I have no idea if they make money from making and selling videos, My comments were on this one program. However it may be in your interest to do an archive search . A long time ago John Mason posted details of the costs involved in making a video and the profit per unit sold. Now from memory it seems that a lot of units have to be sold just to recoup costs.The thing here is John Mason is an established name, he is succesful in what he does and more importantly he has the contacts to get his products into the shops. From your posting it would seem you will be starting from scratch and this is at a time when the European and British economies are in decline and sales are falling.I would be reluctant to invest thousands in the production of a video unless I had a good director , camera man and models , together with some sort of a deal with a distributor.I am not trying to put you off , my original comment was on this Photographer who did Fine Art Pornography as well as magazine work for what I assume to be an up market Japanesse porno mag. My conection to the forum is as a purchaser of videos for my own use, not a maker ,so hope I have not mislead you.

Im currently recruiting girls for a line of vids that Im gonna sell mail order over the mighty internet. I don't expect to make any real money from it, but if i can cover my costs and have some fun then happy days!

The concept is similar to a lot of american stuff:

1# where i supposedly interview a girl for a tame modelling job, but persuade her to get her kit off on camera and start going for it there and then in the office.

2# a bit like bang-bus, with me driving up to girls at chucking out time and offering them a lift home; from there i explain that im making a video and that they would be perfect. Cue taking them back to mine plying them with drinks and dosh and then the usual shagging.

Both concepts work mainly on the basis that persuading a gorgeous bird to indulge in a bit fun on-camera is a lot more titilating than the usual scenarios. Obviously the girls are acting and following a rough script, but the girls that have agreed so far are believable enough and keen as hell to get going!
The range will be called someting like Essex Girls, and plays very much on the stereotype that Essex Girls are easy.
When i have enough material, the website will show stills and clips and sell the vids direct.

I'd appreciate any advice from the experienced producers here, and of course if there any girls in or around Essex who fancy it - email me!
