I'm afraid, Prof, that the whippersnappers these days have no idea who Russel Gay was. He sold Galaxy in the mid-80s and moved off to sunnier climes.

And in defence of the Knave Ed., we (the mag editors) haunt these forums to provide feedback to readers and UK porn fans. By and large, I think they appreciate it, too (as Deano! seemed to agree in his earlier post).

I don't know who you actually are, but if you've been shooting for as long as you claim, then you know the ropes just as well as Dave Wells. And if you tried to sell to Galaxy at any point after 1988, then the chances are we've dealt with one another.

What a wonderful section called down mammary lane

Facts are mags sales are down since their heights which is understandable

The only thing I would say is that on the internet there are alot of disgusting sites in regards to quality comapred to Magazine quality

Sure you may have more choice but quantity has never been a substitute for quality

I think a fellow BGAFD friend of mine put it perfectly when he said there is nothing like seeing your favourite on video

I have plenty of better things to do than answer your often nonsensical posts, Prof, but I just can't resist! And seeing as we have an IT department who monitor every e-mail we send and every website we visit I'd say that my bosses have a very good idea that I post here.

Editors post and surf here for a number of reasons. Yes, to plug our latest issues, but also to listen to feedback, solve 'what model is this?' queries and generally see what's being said by the porn-loving community. Something wrong with that? I think not.

It's a shame TheProf won't reveal himself as comments like these ? "I've worked in the media (Inc Fleet St) for over 50-years,so as we would say in the Army,I've seen a bit of service!" and "in those day's you NEVER talked to the under-dogs-you went straight to him" ? just make you sound a bitter and twisted old man. Come on Prof, let's have a proper name and an identifying e-mail address??????

Cliches seem to say it best

Sleeping dogs lie together

Those who won't reveal their identities but feel free to take pot shots don't have a lot of credibility in my book because putting 2 & 2 together says to me that their opinions are biased because of their commercial interests
