This really makes me angry

Things like this below make me so angry. People have to work
hard and pay their taxes, and yet people are able to fiddle thousands
out the NHS with such ease.

And how many more are doing it ?

A couple cheated the NHS out of ?300,000 in 30 months by claiming bogus
travel expenses, a court has heard.
Jason Jenkins, 34, and Jane McCormack, 28, were able to cheat King's College Hospital, south London, with "astounding" ease, Inner London Crown Court was told.

The pair handed in "six bin-bags full" of forms claiming they were visiting
their four-year-old son Harry, who had jaundice.

At the scam's height, the couple were both pocketing up to ?3,500 a week by handing in forms every hour for 14 hours a day......more on web site

I agree with your sentiments, the NHS is seen as open season for some.

A mate of mine was a hospital administrator at one time and the simple matter of repainting a corridor (not something you can simply make off limits in a busy hospital, even at night) would bring in multipul calls for compensation for ruined 'designer leahter jackets'. Unsurprisingly, where evidence was proffered, it was some ratty old bit of cack form the Oxfam shop not real gear. Problem is, it costs the scammers little to press on, and the NHS real cash to contest.

Imho charges should also have been brought against those people in the NHS administration who were so dozy as to let this happen.

An old mate of mine went to civvy street and secured a job at the local hospital as an electrician, and because he was now employed by NHS, he took advantage of jumping the waiting list for fat removal, AND had a private room to boot!!! There's perks and there's taking the piss!!

.....trouble is, the apparatchiks can't tell the difference.
They're a complete waste of DNA, the rainforests that have to be destroyed for all that pointless paperwork, a drain on our vanishing energy resources, and a financial Black Hole.
They should all be killed very very slowly and extremely painfully.
