Sorry: no.
If it had been a less well-known composer, possibly.
Like Morrisssey, for example..........

The period 1993-1996 when west coast hip hop was at its greatest. The G-Funk production from the likes of Dr Dre back then was classic.

Re: best decade for music.
Doesn't it depend on what sort of music?
Let's see........Oasis, Radiohead*, Blur, Manics, Massive Attack, Spiritualized, Stone Roses, Nirvana, Flaming Lips, R.E.M....
Though still too early to acquire the often deceitful gloss of nostalgia, we were spoilt during the nineties. Worth considering?

*Shockingly dull new album, mind.

Re: best decade for music.
The 80's have to be the worst for music. It was shite, and MTV didnt help either. Mind you, most of what I have heard this currant decade is bollocks as well.

Re: best decade for music.
The late 50's were the catalyst for what happened in the 60's which was undoubtedly the best decade for music. Since then each decade has produced quality bands/music but not to the same high level or quantity. This is only to be expected unless 'the new rock and roll' comes along, which I doubt will ever happen.

Re: best decade for music.
Good observation. My fave decade was the 70's as it had it all from Glam rock to Punk Rock with reggae, Heavy Rock and some good New wave music in between and great new bands emerging that still are around today. Unfortunately, it also had prog rock bollocks like ELP and Yes...... as well as shit American bollocks like John Denver, Eagles and Chicago
