Are the British as a nation too negative? Someone accused me of that last week, and after pondering it for some minutes I had to concede it's the case. To us the glass always seems half full. People who make a success of their lives are there to be torn apart and, apart from the occasional sporting triumph, we don't have a good word to say about anybody.
This is definite glasshouse stone-throwing time, but shouldn't we just accept the fact that enough people like Branson and Oliver and Baddiel and Evans and all those other hate figures, and stop letting them irritate us?

Oliver, Baddiel and Evans wouldn't be tolerated in any other country just laughed at.
I don't think we're more negative than anywhere else. Its like the old argument that the Brits only support the underdog but thats just human nature wherever you're from.

May be it's the lack of sporting success that makes us so negative. We now get beaten at sports that we gave other countries, no Brit has won Wimbledon since 1977, we have not won the World Cup since 1966, we sometimes have some success at other sports but not enough to make us think we are a great sporting nation again.
A lot of people think that American produced TV is better than ours, would not like to think so though. The British Film Industry is not what it once was. Yet some of the biggest films are now made at British studio's with British input (writers, producers, directors etc) but does this country get the credit for it? No cos it's American money behind it so it's an American film!
May be these are some of the reasons why we think negativly, & I'm sure there are others reasons too. Anybody else think along these lines.

Negative, Lazy, yobbish, apathetic, mindless, thoughtless, pathetic excuses for human life in the main. This was once a great nation made by the proud & the hard working. What do we have now?.............. football faggots that cry the moment someone touches their hair, reality TV, a population without the ability the think for themselves, government that will sell us all down the river the first chance they have & towns full of oafish morons getting pissed on Saterday night & abusing the rest of us that just want to have a fun night out because we dare to look different.

No amount of protesting or whinging on forums will change the world so why bother. I've been living the best way there is.........take don't give! Don't vote & don't complain, Burn oil, hunt foxes, drop litter, fuck anything, speed, drink, smoke, puke & have a blast doing it.
Stop worrying about what everyone else thinks or how crap it is to live in Britain & just hold on for the ride. Celebrate this Age of Self & you will have a much easier life.
