Genetic Engineering

Post by Lizard »

There,s a lot of talk about banning this development, due to ethics, and it,s said society will decide the moral debate and issues involved, but I dont think we will, a classic example this week with the Europen non debate, If Genetics can help or accelerate the answers and solutions to some of the hiddeous diseases like Cancer, Diabetes and kids born with crippling Illness,s how can that be wrong?
If your parent/child was dying before your eyes, and there was a cure developed using genetics, would you refuse the treatment on Moral grounds?..

The problem is that no matter how the public view this issue, governments will carry on doing tests in secret.
This isn't new at all. It's been about for a damned long time. It has only been made available for public consumption over the last few years.
It's a hard stretch to put the Govt. Ethics & Morals into the same sentence.
