mark dacascos may well be one of the most talented, but he is always wasted in stupid film roles. brotherhood of the wolf is a tremendous film, but i think his finest is crying freeman.

As for Encounters, the choreography was pretty good. Not bad story but you can't expect much from martial arts/Horror.
My personal recomendation for that genre, is A Chinese Ghost Story. It's spawned several sequels & rip offs, but the original, part 1, is absolutely brilliant and is in a class of it's own. Check it out if you can, you wont regret it;)

Agree, Chinese Ghost Story 1 is a classic, but 2 has this amazing (puppet)demon who's untimely arrival causes much suspence. Pt 3 is a retread of pt 1.

Encounter of the Spooky Kind is great the film with the two blokes who keep spying on Samo's wife who's playing away , and then at the end you think Samo is going to forgive her and he just starts to beat her up
