No longer Catering Corps, its the RLC (Royal Logistics Corps) I was a chef before signing up, and due to qualifications and experience, was on 'fast-track' due to my age at the time, so was promoted quickly.

Ho;den is correct, Redcaps and the shite with Ross 'Grant Mitchell' Kemp are shite, but Soldier, Soldier IS very true to the point, just cast aside any hatred towards Robson and Jerome.
If you watch a funny Werewolf film called Dog Soldiers, THAT is bang on squaddie humour and the best banter I have seen in a film for 'true to life' realism 'on exercise'

I downloaded it a few weeks back expecting it to be shit but it was a quality film.

The shit with Kemp in is called Ultimate Force. I caught 2 minutes of this and laughed my nuts off.
It's basically Kemp playing Grant by any other name and getting to swear a bit.
Real shit stuff.
And Steve...as for Robson being hard. You do ask some lame questions.

there was a series which starred a very young john thaw from the sweeney but i was only about 8/9 yrs old do not recall the stories too well i know sgt mann used to shout a lot thats all.
