there is an important difference: the hindu swastika rotates in the opposite direction to the nazi symbol, which turns to the left. in that sense, it echoes the inverted curcifix as a perverted signal of all that is held sacrosanct.

nobody really knows the origin of the swastika in indiarice is spread in the form of the swastika at the birth of a baby to bring luck.but also it has been found used as an ornament engraved on pottery in ancient peru.it has also been found on the belongings of vikings ,ancient greeks,north american native people and indeed early christians.it was also one of the symbols of boys scouts.
the word swastika derives from the word svastika in the ancient sanskrit language.it is roughly translated as "well being"
