I dont think he was killed, he was a private intense person, and should never have been subjected to a grilling by the parlimantry committee, you would have to be stupid to pop someone knowing you will take the blame, unless it,s all a double bluff, so DONT NOT vote Labour, if you know whats good for you...

Isnt wrist slashing a very extreme method of suicide for somebody who doesnt seem to have been long term depressed?
Personally i would get right drunk before doing something

He did also take painkillers, Ivan. Vein opening was the favoured Roman suicide, preferably in the bath---just letting your life blood drain away.

IT WAS MURDER

Post by Giles »

Pain killers and wrist slashing sounds like overkill. It's a stitch-up, he was murdered, but then this government are famous for justifying murder. This has to be the end for any government that calls itself credible, but this governent is incredible. I resisted an absolute shit load of peer pressure when I didn't vote for anybody on the grounds that I trusted none of the candidates back in 1997 and am relieved to say that I was right.

The row between the BBC and the government is also spin, designed to bury the real issues. If there was a real row going on then we would never hear about it.

Would the last person to leave the UK please turn out the light....

For someone dedicated to his family and work, it does seem very strange he would take his own life. A very nice and decent person who didn't deserve the media spotlight. Whatever anybodies opinions are of Dr Kelly, lets all hope he can Rest In Peace

Re: Blair's 'resignation'

I for one would like to see president Blair do the honourable thing and go to his study with a decanter of port and a revolver and do the right thing as honourable gentlemen did in Victorian times. Not for any other reason than to see Cherie's fashion guru, Carole Caplin out of work and might have to resort to going back to topless pictures to maintain her new 'lifestyle'

Awful, awful, awful.

Very many suicides are impossible to spot beforehand, as the victim wants no outside intervention. Also - and this might seem uncharitable - he may well have realised that by taking his life now would throw his tormentors straight into the shit, whoever they may be, though this would obviously never be the sole or prime intention. The worst thing about this is the speed of it. Just what amount of pressure must you put on someone - and how - in order for them to take such action so quickly?
