Re: The demise of Penthouse
After Guccionne franchised it out one idiot after another got control of it none of them prepared to pay the poor photog decent wedge so it's hardly surprising. Mags are dying nearly every month and in my opinion so is the business as a whole. It ain't any good any more.

Re: The demise of Penthouse
Penthouse never really knew where it wanted to be. For years Playboy has been a lifestlye mag, no more explicit than FHM etc whereas PH didn't know whether to follow suit or go much harder.
When Playboy brought out the Spice HC channel in the US anyone at PH with some business acumen would have followed suit.
Their website is very poor compared to say Sexclub, Swank or Clubonline and the mag is not available in that many shops that I see anyway.
Strangely enough, the two real kings of hardcore mags, Cheri and High Society have never had websites, meaning you want the pictures you buy the mag, eg Tera Patrick being DP'd.

Re: The demise of Penthouse
You're confused somewhat I think Healer. Penthouse US should only be associated byt name with the continuously dreadful attempts to emulate it in the UK.
