Great athletes I accept but the greatest single sporting event has to be the Grand National.

Cheltenham as a whole festival, yes. But for a single race the National is much more spectacular then the Gold Cup.

Go on Mum give them ....

Armour Pork Brains in Milk Gravy (Dial Corp.): If you're really looking
to clog up those arteries in a hurry, you'll be pleased to learn that a
single serving of pork brains has 1,170 percent of our recommended daily
cholesterol intake. All the more ingenious, then, that the label on this
product helpfully features a recipe for brains and scrambled eggs.

cheers Duke !

it has ones taste buds going what ?

The best part is watching the cyclists come down some of the highest mountains at breakneck speed..............don't know if they get a thrill out of it as they do it but sometimes they look as if they could just fly off the side of a mountain (one did a few years ago, lucky for him he landed in some bushes).

What amazes me is the surpport they get as they climb the mountains...the spectors just go mad. They drive up the mountain at the crack of dawn, wait 6 hours (!) for the race to pass by in minutes & then spend 6-8 hours just trying to get back down the mountain again as it's one long traffic jam. Theres barely enough room for the riders on the top as it's jam packed with people.

They even spend hours sitting by the road side in small French villages just to see the Tour flash by in seconds. But being French they make a day of it by taking lots of food & of course lots of booze!

What a crazy country!!
