The CX32000 (Epson) is good - scanner/photocopier/printer combo and generic cartridges can be bought cheaply all over the place - there used to be problems with the printers not recognising the chip but they seem to have sorted the problem now.

having had a few printers, I would definately go with one of the epson photo printers, once you have selected a couple of alternatives, look at the code numbers for the ink cartridges and key it in to google, should let you know the score with prices for compatible cartridges, even the chipped ones are usually about a fiver each.
PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?
