Hes turned out VERY VERY bitter, if the law had banged me up for 2 years, I would be seething. If he can make some money for his story, I would say 'fair play Tony!!'

Put it THIS way, Jeffrey Archer will make millions from his Prison Diaries, who do you begrudge? Smug Archer making a fast million, or Tony making 100k. Tony Martin is a nutcase!
He was refused a gun licence by the local Police Chief, so he went and got a pump action shotgun anyway (which as far as I know is illegal even with a licence). He had been previously charged with shooting at someone. He shot the guy in the back, which means he was leaving. Dunno about you but when someone is running out your door after you've pointed a gun at them, I'd say you've already successfully defended yourself. Pulling the trigger is murder.
They should have thrown away the key!
And no, I don't give a rat's arse about the 2 guys he shot.
As for the Daily Express, don't get me started on them!

He was convicted of murder, reduced to manslaughter due to Martin having psychological disorders. If people think this particular convicted criminal should be allowed to profit my selling his story then lets see if the same people will stay quiet when the next convicted criminal who they may have much less sympathy with sells his story. If Martin is allowed to keep his money from selling his story then don't complain when the next tabloid buys the story from the next convicted killer with a sensational story.

Tony Martin is not a criminal and should never have had to spend time in prison.
If the two criminals hadn't travelled 60 miles to rob Martin then they wouldn't have got killed/shot in the leg. The points about Martin being 'eccentric' and shooting Barras in the back are totally irrelevant ??burglars have no rights. If you break into someone's home with the intention of stealing their property then you should lose all rights to protection from the law.
It's entirely fair and reasonable that Martin should be able to make some money from selling his story; it's not as if he's able to earn a wage for the last couple of years is it?
