Just wondering, but if you have a website about yourself, as some forumites seem to have, do you have to have permission for linking to a site

e.g. if I started a site about me and wanted to link to bgafd would I have to have the blessing of woodgnome etal?

or if I put on a top ten of my fave hunnies would I have to seek out the copyright holder of the images?

Also what other potential problems are there in creating a non-profit site?
