GBH was a bit off everything. Bleasedale said Michael Murray was more interesting than hatton, and he's right. Lindsay and Palin have never been better, and there are wonderfully surreal moments in it---especially the Dr Who convention at the hotel. Lindsay's face as the lift doors open and his already scrambled brain has to take in what his eyes are seeing.

Also featured a pre-Brookie Anna Friel, and a pre-Corrie, A&E, Bill etc Jane Danson (credited as Jane Dawson) as Murray's schooldays tormentor. Oh, and the headmaster was the original Kryten in Red Dwarf.

I saw a couple of minutes of Corrie the other week and Mr Igbon was lurking in it. In GBH, at the early stages of Michael's problem, he was the Teddy the minder who winked back at him. Class stuff.

Re Lindsay. I saw a preview of GBH, with the scene outside the hotel room where his nervous twitch was all over the shop and I thought it was pisspoor acting. Once you saw it in context, and after his gradual downhill roll, it was one of the best acting performances TV drama has given us.

Danson or Dawson, nurse or WPC, she's a cracker.

the first one they did,i have the gunfight at the ok launderette there was a referance to the IRA by terry i did laugh cos it sounded funny at the moment.sorry pal wrong number was a good 1 too,sure it was filmed at acton.
