Remember it well

Did quite well at

After leaving school promptly forgot all about it and never used it again

The trouble with stuff like algebra & equations in general in my day 1979-83
was that it was never explained exactly what or how they could be used in real life

If someone had said to me it was a forerunner for going onto higher education I would have dropped it like a hot scone.12 years of schooling was quite enough

cheers

I remember High School the best
Five years of torture by my fellow pupils for being even Lazier than a Tortoise, less enthusiastic than a man on Death Row and non-reactionary to anything they could throw at me(physical or verbal)-nothing like pissing off tormentors by not reacting how they want you to....lol

My apologies I forgot my Kindergarten(1971) & Primary School days (1972-1978)-I was a Milk Monitor back then-My crowning achievment.

That an being able to count to ten in German.
Could have sworn we won the War

Tell me whats normal and I'll tell you wether your F...cked!!!!! Up or not

I see were back to religion being the fountain of all misery again
Scripture was my best class at school-i would have become a Priest/Monk but when i heard Bill Murray in Stripes say that Monks don't get wildly F...cked by girls I knew it wasn't for me.Managed to avoid the Army as well and joined a Bank-fun fun fun fun...in the early days anyway

cheers

Algebra is vital. You DO use it every day but probably don't realise it...the same way your brain will do the most complicated calculus every time you cross the road...if it didn't you'd soon find that you had tyre marks over your back.

My schooling was from Sept 1939 (yes just as war broke out) until July 1952
in the middle of another conflict in Korea. I can still do algebra and trigonometry with the best of 'em. In passing I must say that I did my RAF National Service in the country where we have had two bust-ups in the last decade or so, yes you've guessed it------IRAQ. It was a peaceful country then.
