Sorry about the multiple posts, but if you look back through the threads you'll see that I've already explained that I can't help it.

I only send once but it's pot luck how many times my message gets posted.

I use a tv netbox, not a PC, and I think that's the cause. When I brought the subject up before, someone suggested it was something to do with these things not being Java-friendly.

Fom what I've observed on the forum, one or two others have the same problem.

If it's too much of a pain I'll stop posting, but I'd sorely miss the feedback. My horizons have broadened hugely since I discovered this site - it's the best thing on the net.

Villa you will remember I consoled with you on this problem last year. Dixons sell a Bush Internet box for ?50 including keyboard and it does not have any of the problems you are suffering. OK you will still have to pay your phone bill but its faster than the PC we have at work(top of the range) and no multiple posts. You can view jpegs on it but not mpegs.

I used a Bush internet tv for months, but the internet access was costing a fortune, 3p a minute daytime, 2p a minute evenings 1p a minute weekends, so if you can get a PC , it'll pay for itself within a year. Don't go to a shop though, if you can , go to one of the Northern Computer Markets held around the country. I got mine, Athlon 850, 25 gig, 256 Ram, DVD drive, monitor etc for &320, all new except the monitor.

I did consider what you said before, Magoo, but I decided to stay put and save my pennies for a PC.

And this thing does have some mpeg capability, although it's a bit crappy.

It was the phone costs that put me off the Bush box.

Mine costs me 2p/min weekday peak times, 1p/min all other times including weekends.

PC planned for the future.

if it was repeating half a dozen times each post, that would be a real problem - but as that's the exception rather than the rule, it's a minor inconvenience.

i thought you were hitting the return button more than once, as some tend to when things are slow moving.

Yes fellas your correct. I owe BT about ?600. My quarterly phone bill is ?300+. It would be cheaper for me to get a PC but I am not very good on PC stuff. Help. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If and idiot like me can buy a PC I'd think you could do it as well Magoo.I Probably got ripped off but then I found this forum and its all been worthwhile.

All you really need is a keyboard and a modem plus a compatible TV.Its the way of the future as they call them home entertainment centres.

tv/dvd/vcr/stereo/computer all in one 5 remote controls.

Imagine viewing the internet on big screen digital tv in dolby surround sound, the mind boggles.(could zoom in to see wether she's really having the big o.
