My scene quoted is from Quentin Tarrantino's 'From Dusk till Dawn'
Love it or hate it, there are some great moments

and while i'm in the agreeing mode - pacino has also been a bugbear of mine for years now. there are certain actors who get praised to the heavens for all the wrong reasons; another example that springs to mind is daniel day-lewis.

ddl and pacino spend far too much time showing off their amazing 'talent' to the audience, instead of submerging it in the character they are supposedly playing. as a rule of thumb, if you're constantly seeing how 'great' someones performace is, then it probably isn't that great at all.

funnily enough, i really warmed to pacino as an individual in his documentary 'looking for richard' - a much more engaging performer when he's playing himself.

i buy nearly all my dvd's online and never pay over a tenner for a single disc or ?13 for a double.

i live by these two sites:

between them, you've a better than evens chance of getting the best version at the best price.

I like this man, he is very careful which roles to pick, which demonstrates his 'limits' therefore looking brilliant in the roles he chooses to play.
DeNiro is well known for his method acting and you can see across the board his range. I wish he'd stop the 'comedy' roles though. Midnight Run was good, but Analyse This/That is crap at best.
DeNiro gets MY vote for the better of the two. I still think Raging Bull is the best film I have seen all said and done

what are the hidden charges Woody? I brought a book from Amazon last week for a tenner, then had to pay ?2.75 for p&p.
Same with ebay, picked some great stuff and the seller bumps up the p&p rates to supplement his 'loss'
