Liechtenstein
Liechtenstein
Is it just me, or did the 'keeper look like a typical woman footballer?
We have need of you again, great king.

He/she reminded me of tennis star Lindsay Davenport.
Re: Liechtenstein
I, for one, think they deserve credit for coming to a 60,000 capacity crowd at Old Trafford and coming away at 0-0 at half time and 2-0 after 90 minutes with the talent England had on the pitch. Never in it, but well done lads from Liechtenstein
The West London of my youth is now on dvd

Re: Liechtenstein
Last night (Rooney and Becks apart) finally convinced me that Nancy dell'Olio is really running the team.
A lot of over-hyped, overpaid barrow-boys who don't deserve to play for their country (the start gave it away- why is it only Beckham seems able and willing to memorise a mere two verses of banal songwriting? Is it really beyond those mumbling halfwits' competence? Anyone would think they were ashamed to be there: or the appoearance-money wasn't enough for them to give a stuff.).
The moment they come up with a performance like last night's against a side who half-know what they're doing, they're gonna be dead meat.
Coincidentally or not, the Under-21s (23s?) losing the previous night points the 'future' of the English game: with most successful English sides sporting a majority of Euro imports, how is the new talent going to break through? Most sides now would rather import than buy youth from the Nationwide.

I thought the keeper was a woman too.....alice band in his hair, stud in his ear, girlish face............I remember when keepers looked like someone who would do a days graft down a coal mine........now some of them look like girls with their ponytails etc!!
Re: Liechtenstein
That definitely was a girl in their goal, which makes our 2 goal victory even less convincing.

Re: Liechtenstein
Wait to you play Australia again
Whip your asses we will...lol
As for hidden talent in the leagues or buried in the big squads Who?
The question about imports is a double edged sword....yes they keep locals out of the team but then I'm sure they are passing on valubale tips in training.Training with the Worlds best can only be beneficial. Its all about rotating your squad and not first elevens these days
I don't think Englands problem is in the youth but at the other end
Mature players...they don't have enough.....when you consider the average age of Trophy Winners is about 28.England is still too young overall
Swap Shearer for Heskey and all the problems up front would be solved
As for the goal keeper being a woman...NO WAY...just one of those Metrosexuals...he dares to care about his appearance
cheers
