guuuys help please! PC help/advice needed

basically, since yesterday my screen has been fucking about on my laptop...mainly on internet explorer...its fine on the desktop etc well sorta...im getting a lot of lil flickers and letters blurring etc, but its kinda random and temporamental. a few times its completely flicked off (so to speak) and given me a message to shutdown and when i return ive sent the error report to microsoft and its taken me to a site saying about my Graphics driver...ive reinstaled it and done a lot of other downloads but nothing helping, its sometimes bearable but its awul on things like winmx and is going thro a shit phase as i type.,...any knowledge/advice/ experience of this guys? mmuch appreciated if u dooo!

You could try reinstalling Windows and see if that fixes it.
I wouldn't suspect your graphics software if it's been running OK previously, unless in the meantime you've installed something else that might be interfering with it..........

ive only got 4 recovery discs that came with the computer, if i do that wont i lose all my files/songs/internet connections?

Sounds like you need to backup your computer

I've never bothered as i never have anything of value worth saving on my computer

Why not try

Firstly run a virus scan then run a trojan scan.
You may have picked up something that is causing your graphics driver to have bum sex with the CPU.

my norton antivirus expired a few months back :S! gulp...fucking idiot me...later on im gonna do what i use to do on my PCs when i had a problem im gonna run thro my Ctrl Alt Del processes list and see what each file represents using google...if one of thems a virus ill kno, im hoping it is a virus cos i cant afford a new graphics card :S...specially on a laptop. thanks for ur posts guys ill have a proper read after 6pm when im online for free...any more help apprciated of course

If your still having problems after running spyware removers like adaware & spybot you might want to try

prints a log explains the log
in detail

If you can't work it out you can post it to



Better for someone giving you advice to see the real state of your computer than just guessing

thanks v.much guys its still fucked so iove been saving all my songs and porn to disks as we are gonna send it back cos its just within the guarantee...by two months....seems to be the card i should think or something hardware but im gonna try ur things
really grateful so thanks to u all individually! ...need to completely wipe everything cos the computer was paid for in my parents name (no im not 12 ! and they are getting funny about the porn...cant seem to differentiate between child porn and regular!!! :O
like saying the company will mention it etc and im like...wtf...no they dont regular porn is on every comp in the world lol and its not illegal.....er...right?
