Angel Heart. Yes a great film, if confusing the first time round. ANYTHING Mickey did up till Barfly (1989) is excellent.

Ooh - almost. A Prayer for the Dying is an atrocity, but he was allowed one at the time. Wasn't it after Barfly he started shaping projects for himself? That Harley Davidson nonsense, Homeboy, etc.

I thought Homeboy was brilliant, but Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man was just dire.
Prayer for the Dying bombed because Mickey publically supported Noirad the American faction of the IRA and the publicity and hype of THAT comment left the distribtors with little choice but to release the film with VERY little promotion. A pity considering Hoskins, Bates and Neesom are in it
