Di: another day...

Post by The Last Word »

Eleven more pages in the Mirror this morning. In place of news, of course.

And again the old chestnut of 'it's what the public wants/needs to know' is trotted out by those set to profit. 'Conditioning' doesn't come in to it, it seems. Meanwhile, back in the real world, two young gentlemen perhaps now think the family they are part of were responsible for their mothers demise. Such drama - there'll be a good story in that someday. Wheels in motion, methinks...

> Yes...what IS the facination with digging up the Diana story again?

A week or so ago we were all praising the program about Henry VIII.

We all know the story, but it was trotted out again.

What is the difference (except all the people involved are dead) ?

There are only so many of these type of stories, and lots of papers
and TV hours to fill.

Di & Henry VIII: World exclusive.

Replace 'facination' with 'intention' in your first question and you'll have nailed it, Guilbert.

I get the impression Burrell and his media cronies don't actually want an investigation - or not at least until they've cashed-in - and know damn well what they're doing only hinders it further in time-honoured Fleet Street fashion (and that's not something you could say about the Henry VIII drama, by the way).

As an ex-boss once said to us: any criticism we get now will be offset by future profits.

If a conspiracy existed, led by the Duke of Edinburgh and involving the intelligence services, and if they arranged an accident that would kill the most high profile woman on the planet and the son of a prominent, publicity-addicted business man, and they got away with it, what makes you think they'd stop there? Does anyone really think they couldn't also dispose of one money-grubbing, shit-stirring butler and not make it look like an accident or suicide?

By the way, would someone please sell off House of Windsor plc to the highest bidder!
