He told Grant and Amanda Donohoe, while filming the utter shite Lair Of The White Worm, to listen to recordings of Noel Coward and Gertrude Lawrence and deliver their lines in the same clipped, phony way. KR says Grant has acted in the same way ever since.

According to my Time Out film guide, no Uma in Sirens. She did have a part in Gilliam's Braon Munchausen, doing her Venus bit as a teenager in a recreation of Bottecelli's Birth Of. And damned fine she looked too.
