Pros
-Bill Nighy as a faded rock star making a comeback is absolutely great and the undoubted star of the whole film. Hilarious.
- a star studded cast with good performances notably from Alan Rickman, Emma Thompson & Liam Neeson.
- good use of pop music tracks
- some surprising cameos


Cons
- Rowan Atkinson is a little wasted
- a few of the stories are a little superfluous ( notably the stand-ins)


In all this is a very entertaining feel good film and will no doubt be a regular Christmas TV feature for years to come. and definately a good first date movie too. Highly recommended even for the curmudgeonly cynics out there.

I think you'll find that this will probably be even more succesful than Notting Hill & 4 weddings and a funeral.

Just watch those box office grosses go through the roof!
