as someone who has repeatedly abused this forum to troll against marcus and phil, your hypocrisy is laughable.

you never had the balls to apologise for your own infantile acts of fakery when they were exposed, so spare us the holier than thou bullshit.

badgers mount is just the moron de jour, by yet another name.

he also posted as psychotic clown which have been removed (and consequently, yours and marcus' replies).

You obviously haven't read half mp posts Zasuna because if i've got something worthwhile to say about porn i certainly haven't posted it on this forum too often.

I agree that topics that start off as porn and turn into O/T humour can be irritating. That's why I am the retired clown.

Maybe this forum would be better if you had to sign in to get in.All clubs that I know of say one thing over & over o/t is out of bounds.

The Three Ring Circus was our little tribute club to Hannah Coleman.(but nothing to do with porn just food fetishes).

Zasuna. I re read your post and it still makes no sense. I dont wish to drag this out further. The hypocrasy of your argument has already been pointed out to you by Woodgnome so I dont need to dwell on that.

As Buttsie said the three ring circus was a bit of fun. It started with Hannah asking for requests for her site and some of us got a bit carried away with our requests. It was all a bit of FUN and Hannah joined in the joke and had a laugh with her fans. A very endearing quality of hers I might add. Now as she is in the industry that makes it on topic (sort of) as it related to her site (a bit). Read the FAQ and you will see there is no rule to say going slightly off topic is not allowed. Your recent antics were a much more serious offence.

Anyway why the hell should I have to justify anything to you after your recent bogus posts. You dont make the rules on what can be posted.

It's obviously escaped your (selective) notice, Zasuna, that this discussion would not exist at all if it hadn't been as a result of posts to this forum.

Call me a miserable bastard if you will but the inane banter gets right up my nose and clogs my web browser. I just check in of an evening to see if anyone has actually got anything interesting, intelligent, or indeed relevant to say (which on occasion they have.) I find this extremely stimulating even if I don't agree with the opinion being expressed. It seems a quite night tonight - they're all talking a load of mindless twaddle at the top of the board, so I just though I wander down the threads to see if I had missed anything...

Dibble - getting his two peneth in.

If I may -

You, Sir, are wrong about O/T humour.

O/T humour is perfectly acceptable if you ask me, and judging by the policy of the moderators, they largely agree with me. Why? because this is above all a community. Yes, it's largely a community built on a mutual appreciation of (British) porn, but it's a community nonetheless. Nobody is suggsting that O/T posts should take over the forum's original purpose, and that is clearly not in danger of happening. But for a community to thrive there must be camaraderie, community spirit, even if only in the cyber-sense...and humour, off-topic or on, is a good way to foster such spirit.

It is also beneficial to the interests of the community if regular members feel they 'know' each other to some degree - which is facilitated by the tolerance of the odd off-topic post which enables members to banter and build a rapport with each other. Without this rapport and the resultant community spirit, members will be less inclined to have useful and enjoyable discussions about the topic that brings us all together.

What possible objections can be raised to the occassional O/T post? That it wastes your time? Oh please - diddums. Are we to believe that your porn-hunting time is so vital and precious that to waste even a second of it, even a smidgin of your bandwidth, with a bit off irreverence is to commit a mortal sin? Pardon me if I find that a rather pompous viewpoint.

The fact is that 'zasuna' and his attack on O/T humour are just the bitter moanings of a former troll who got caught out. He is merely attempting to justify himself. His attempts to glorify 'trollish wisdom' are entirely fatuous - and a contradiction in terms, since anyone with anything wise or useful to say cannot, by definition, be a troll. Trolls undermine the spirit that makes the bgafd a productive and enjoyable place to be, whereas humour, on topic or off, fosters co-operation and camaraderie.

At the end of the day, it's alec and woodgnome's gaff, and thus their rules. If anyone knows what's best for this little web community, it's them. And you know what happens? The trolls get turfed out and the jokers are tolerated. Funny that.

This is far more eloquent than my draft reply, so mine is now otiose.
The point about shared humour being a social glue is especially well made.

Well said Rimbaud! I completely agree. Very well made points. Would people like to visit a forum that was completely po-faced and humourless? I doubt it.
